Boril Ivanov, piano, native of Bulgaria, was educated from early childhood by his grandparents, who were conductors. He attended Music School in his home
town of Varna. Later he continued his education at the Music High School
where he was appointed pianist for the Youth Symphony Orchestra. MORE>>>
While playing with the Youth Symphony Orchestra, Boril recorded for the Bulgarian National Radio. After attending Music High School, Boril gained acceptance to the Bulgarian National Conservatory where he received his B.A. In Bulgaria, he was busy composing, arranging and performing with the Bulgarian National Teams of Rhythmic and Artistic Gymnastics, as well performing and recording in different venues.
Boril has performed professionally in North Korea, Turkey, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Russia, Germany, England, Italy, Portugal, Greece and Holland. After immigrating to the U.S. in 1991, Boril has been involved in the local musical scene as a classical, pop, sacred and jazz performer, accompanist and recording artist as well as maintaining his own piano studio at Nice Music.
Some of his credits include; Orange Park Chorale, Musical Director at Theater Jacksonville, Thrasher-Horne Center for the Performing Arts, Concert on the Green and many others.
